Which Mountain to Climb?

Taken from a plane window on a return flight to Victoria.

Debate and discussion throughout the world is constant
Issue upon issue seems to rise majestically above daily human activity
demanding - insisting -
immediate and undivided attention for help and to give voice in our
world
land
homes
citizenry

Each issue critically important
Each opinion as valid as the other
Discussion and debate needed and ongoing
to resolve and support what is right
according to .......

The what if’s of drama and horror
frighten and foster knee jerk reactions
threatening great eruptions within communities.

Each individual takes up a very small space in this world
In the midst of the world's grander issues
how can we be personally responsible
politically - dare I use that term for personal issues
economically - within our means
ethically - defining principles of life that evolve from our cultures
morally - just doing the next right thing within those principles

The number of issues with all strings attached overwhelms............

“In matters of truth and justice, there is no difference
between large and small problems, for issues
concerning the treatment of people are all the same.”
~ Albert Einstein
