For Eva

Eva, my son’s sweet and beautiful dog, passed today.

Some things in this world

happen so suddenly

it takes our breath away,

breaks our hearts and

doesn’t wait for us to keep up.

We are stopped.

Grasp of reality lost.

Future no longer exists

Memories try to fill the void

Confidence trembles

Tear stained grasps for solid ground begins

“…love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.”

~ Khalil Gibran

So sorry to read of Eva’s leaving you, and shell-shocked at the suddenness. Dogs are very very special. I wondered at your new profile photo, but never thought of that sad reason. I recall that you’ve been very fond of your grand-dogs, from occasions of pet-sitting and beach runs. Was Jason home, as think you’ve said he often works away? Hugs.

Thanks. Yes he was so could get her to a vet right away. They could do nothing for her. The stroke was too massive and they also located a large tumour.
