A good book
words flowing
telling a story
of deep faith
until
they lift gently off the page
word by word
mixing
swirling
eddying
floating through
the trapped air of
the city bus
the story put away
calming the words within
away from bright teenage chatter
punctuated only by giddy laughter
and the ding of ‘Stop Requested’.
