Epilepsy Awareness Day/Purple Day for Epilepsy - Re-post from March 26, 2022

One an hour or more, a couple a week, maybe once every few weeks or months - who knows when?! or managed successfully with medication and/or surgery - or not.

Living on the alert

Getting up in the morning

Going to bed at night

Taking medication daily

Being aware of surroundings

How rested you are - or aren’t.

All kinds of seizures!

Little ones, big ones ~

not all falling down ones

Each one knocks a brain sideways

vibrating it for minutes, hours, days or more after the seizure has vanished.

"It's more than just having seizures."

~ Lindsey Hess

Purple Day established in 2008 by Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia

**Some minor updates to this repost, but a seizure's still a seizure.
