I reviewed the history of the Roughriders this morning on the Roughrider website: riderville.com/team-history/

.After a long history beginning in 1910 as the The Regina Ruby Club, the Regina Roughriders name was changed to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1948.

So:  

Congratulations to the 

'Saskatchewan' Roughriders 

for bringing the Grey Cup home to Saskatchewan on November 16, 2025.
