Tending to Autumn

Tending to water, roots, weeds and leaves..
Planting bulbs and pruning, mulching and raking...
Hoses drained and tools tucked inside....
Cleaning up parks, yard and garden are autumn’s cool chores
Conserving earthen energy whether small gardens or large.
Gardens in spring will be lovely and fresh when soil and lawns are covered, bulbs and roots put to bed.

“The tints of autumn....a mighty flower garden blossoming
under the spell of the enchanter, frost.”
~ John Greenleaf Whittier
