Trickster vs Trickster

Self doubt can be quite a trickster.
Pretty sour, dour and gray.
Redirecting any ideas
that spark along the way.
There is another trickster
that lights a flame or two
Curiousity is that trickster’s name
and dislikes self doubt through and through
When curiosity takes hold of thought,
of mind, and heart and soul
self doubt must take a far back seat
so curiosity can search out its goal.

“Old timidity has disappeared, and is replaced by silent,
quaint fun, with which his face twinkles all over, as he listens.”
~ Thomas Hughes, Tom Brown’s Schooldays
