Epilepsy Awareness Day/Purple Day for Epilepsy

One an hour - or more

A couple a week

Maybe once every few weeks

or months - who knows when!

or managed successfully with

medication or surgery.

Living on the alert

Getting up in the morning

Going to bed at night

Taking medication daily

Being aware of surroundings

How rested you are - or aren’t.

All kinds of seizures!

Little ones, big ones ~

not all falling down ones

Each one knocks a brain sideways

vibrating it for minutes, hours, days or more

after the seizure has vanished.

“It’s more than just having seizures.”

~ Lindsey Hess

Purple Day established in 2008 by Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia
