Surprise at the end of the day~
always when bedtime comes
time for nighttime shut eye
snuggling into the dark
welcoming the silence of night.
Daylight hours tick-tocked by
with or without purpose
in bright sunshine or cloudy skies
until the sun disappears and
with a sigh of satisfaction, the pillow says ‘hello’
