On an Evening Walk - Skyward

A soft grey hesitation to

heat that burned and stifled

dry and dusty land breathed

in the cool, welcome moisture

‘til honeyed sunshine gilded

pines beneath frayed clouds.

“Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth;

without rain there would be no life.”

Solitude ~ 2

Standing alone in

reflection and shadow ~

eased by bright light and

cool, flowing water.

“Without great solitude no serious work is possible.”

~ Pablo Picasso
