'A Stitch in Time'

Effects are not what are heard in the 

out-loud spaces of a day, but can be seen in glimpses from changes made 

in the still light of morning, carried softly or courageously each day.

Effects are not what are wished 

for but are colourful parts of 

the fabric of our beings hinting, 

at shadows or joys never

expected or chosen in each life.

Effects are not what are designed

only reshaped to fit each life be they 

beautiful or plain spoken, filled with 

joy or sadness ~ when stitched 

with gratitude, change can be born.

All I Can Do

The page is so very blank tonight ~

stepping away from routine for 

rest and relaxation,

running away from work and ordinary

to family, celebrations and remarkable

has scrubbed my mind clean

all I can do is to be

kind to myself and settle in ~

to my career and to extraordinary.

Food and family are absolute partners. 

Even when I eat with the TV’s companionship

Dinners and suppers

Easters and Christmas

Birthdays and just ordinary days

And many just ordinary days

Gathering

  Shopping

      Preparing

Satisfaction in all the days with

My sons,

   My siblings

      My mom and dad

         All of my life’s special people
