Such a busy year ~
at a distance from each other
dreaming stories to fill the distance,
masking breath and thoughts
wrapped in worry and concern
gentled by joys and laughter
all the while
our roots, stretching and growing,
remind us of older stories ~
stories of a different busy life
unmasked and shared with closeness
wrapped in worry and concern
gentled by joys and laughter
tonight our future opens before us
our story page clean and blank ~
awaiting our touch.
