I Think Not

I think not: Writing about 

the mundane details of life, 

the dirt on my shoes, 

a lightbulb to change? 

There are 

     grander things, 

         weighty things, 

that deserve my attention. 

Aren’t there? 

Turning on radios, 

social media platforms, 

podcasts, 

television programs 

does provide all 

the grand and weighty things 

I can handle. 

When they get too heavy, 

there’s a little button, 

electrical cord or 

remote control that 

cuts off the heaviness 

so I can tend 

to the dirt on my shoes or 

change a flickering lightbulb.
