It's 9 o'clock

It’s 9 o’clock

The night air is cool

Christmas lights gradually wink off, 

fading toward the New Year. 

Each next day will open 

as in all New Years past.

But tomorrow, 

the last day of 2024, 

will be its own new beginning.
