Like a new born kitten
curious about a new world
climbing tentatively
tumbling softly onto the earth
I peer about with wonderment
eyes seeing possibility all around
choices spilling over each other
tangled with questions of
where and when
how much and how often
what earthly good can I do
when taking baby steps toward
new horizons that beckon.
