Yet, they did it!
The weather gods smiled.
With dwindling hope
of a warm spring,
hints of green a fantasy,
wind brutally flung its might,
yesterday snow still fell.
But today the sun shone,
puddles filled street corners,
trickling into drains, snow
banks joined the puddles,
shrinking from the sun's warmth.
Yes, they did do it!
The weather gods smiled.
