Chance, Challenge and Hope
Chance and Challenge were twins that absolutely hated their names, but loved each other very much.
Hope, their much younger sister, was the apple of their eye and a pretty sharp cookie, always beating them at their own games!
And she thought the three of them sounded like headliners opening for an inspirational speaker!
Letitia, their mother and Braden, their father had named each of them for what the young couple were facing in life.
Living paycheque to paycheque, both going to school and raising children stretched more than just money in those early years.
Energy frequently was at a premium, but it was always the children’s smiles and hugs that made life worthwhile.
Now that Hope had her own family, and her brothers were off and away in their own lives, she could see the sacrifices that her parents had made.
Grateful and proud of her parents, she finished up the care package she was preparing for her parents.
Each of them had been sick with some weird flu for the past week, so hope had been caring for them every day with soups, picking up their mail, getting them anything they needed.
Saturday afternoon, Hope would surprise them with her brothers returning home for their forthieth wedding anniversary and so much laughter and love.
